Our place is located over in Banikantha Nagar, which is part of Athagarh in the Cuttack district. It's a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like it here. Pravash Dash and the family have been running things for a while. We mainly deal with steel strips and related materials. It’s a busy little operation tucked away in Orissa. The workshop isn't massive, but we make use of every inch of space we have. Most of the locals know the P.K Dash name around here. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and help whoever stops by. The weather in Cuttack can be pretty humid, so working with metal means we’re always wiping sweat and keeping things from rusting. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time navigating the narrower roads around Banikantha Nagar, but we always figure it out eventually. There’s always a bit of dust in the air and the smell of grease, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. It’s a simple setup for a simple purpose. Most of us have lived here our whole lives, so we know the area like the back of our hands. If the gate is open, we're probably working hard inside.
