Dream India School

In Netaji Nagar, right near the Industrial Estate in Cuttack, you’ll find our school. It’s an interesting spot because you can see some of the industrial buildings not too far off. Being in an area like this means there is always something going on nearby. Our building is simple and we try to keep it as tidy as we can given the dust that comes with being in an active part of the city. The staff here usually gets in early to beat the humidity. We sit in the office and go over the schedules for the day while drinking tea. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We are more like a big, slightly disorganized family at Dream India School. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of markers, and we just figure it out. The children from the surrounding neighborhoods bring a lot of energy to the place. We see them walking through the gates every morning with their bags, and it reminds us why we show up. The hallways can be narrow, but we make it work. Most of the parents work nearby in the industrial sector, so we see them in a hurry during pick-up. We don’t have any big slogans or complicated philosophies. We just open the doors, teach the lessons, and go home when the sun starts to set over Cuttack.
