Dav Gurukul

Dav Gurukul has been sitting here at Plot No B/1509 in Sector 6 of CDA for quite some time now. Cuttack is a busy place and our little corner in the 753014 area is no different from the rest of the neighborhood. We spend our days mostly looking after the students and making sure the lessons get finished before the day ends. It is not a very fancy building but it does what it needs to do for the community. You will see us opening up early in the morning before the sun gets too high in the sky. There is always a bit of a crowd at the gate when the bell rings. We have desks, some boards, and books scattered around the place in the various rooms. Our staff are local people who know the families living nearby. Sometimes things are a bit chaotic when it rains, as Cuttack weather can be unpredictable, but we carry on anyway. We don't use big words or have complicated rules here. It is just about getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids learn something useful for their lives. If you walk past Sector 6, you will likely hear the noise from the playground. It can get loud but that is just part of the life here. People know where we are if they need to talk about their children. We keep a simple ledger and answer the phone when it rings. It’s just a normal school doing normal things day in and day out.
