Being at Scb Medical College in Cuttack means you are always surrounded by a lot of activity. It’s an old institution in Odisha, and the campus has that heavy, historic feel to it. The buildings are spread out, and if you are walking from one department to another, you definitely feel the Cuttack heat, especially in the afternoons. Our daily life here is mostly about the students who are always buried in their books or rushing to the hospital side for their practical work. It’s not a quiet place at all. There is always the sound of people talking, carts moving, and the general hum of a medical facility nearby. The hostel rooms are basic, and the corridors sometimes have that faint smell of antiseptic that you just can't get rid of. We have a lot of trees around, which helps a bit with the shade, but it’s still a very busy and sometimes exhausting place to be. Staff and students eat at the local canteens, and the food is just simple stuff to keep everyone going through the long shifts. It’s a place where work never really stops, and people are just doing their jobs or studying hard to finish their degrees. It’s a bit messy and crowded sometimes, but that’s just how things are here at Scb. We handle the paperwork and keep the classrooms ready for the next batch of doctors coming through.
