S V Bricks

You can find us out on Kadapa Road, right at the address 4-17-39. We’re in Lakkireddipalli, which is the kind of place where you get to know your neighbors pretty quickly. Making bricks is heavy and very dusty work. There is really no way around that part of it. We spend our days out in the yard dealing with the raw materials and checking on the kiln. It's definitely not the kind of job where you can stay clean for very long. The sun can be pretty harsh out here on the road during the day, but we stay busy regardless. People are always building something new, so there’s a steady need for the bricks we produce. We aren't some big corporation with fancy offices or air conditioning. We just have a small desk for the paperwork and a whole lot of space for the bricks to sit. Some days the weather just doesn't cooperate and that slows everything down for us. You learn to live with the rhythm of the seasons and the rain. We've got a crew that’s been with us for a while now. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings about strategy. We just look at the daily schedule and get to loading up the trucks. The trucks come and go at all hours of the day. It's a bit noisy and chaotic. We like being part of the local building scene and seeing the houses go up and knowing our bricks are in them.
