Pavan Bricks

Our place, Pavan Bricks, is situated over at Konampeta in Lakkireddipalle. We have several plots from 69 to 74 where we keep everything running. It is a big space but we manage to keep it organized in our own way. The sun gets really hot out here in this part of the country, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. By midday, it’s mostly about checking the kilns and making sure the bricks are cooling down properly. We don't really have a fancy sign or a big entrance. Most people find us because they know the area or they see the stacks of red bricks from the road. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you will usually see one of us walking around with a clipboard or talking to the drivers. We deal with a lot of local contractors who have been coming to us for years. We don't do much advertising because word of mouth in Lakkireddipalle is usually enough for us. Sometimes we run out of stock when there is a big project nearby, and we have to tell people to wait a few days for the next batch. It's just the way it goes with this kind of work. We do our best to keep things moving without making everything too expensive. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and we like being here.
