Mahathma Gandhi Medical College

This is the Department of Anaesthesiology at Mahathma Gandhi Medical College in Pondicherry. We are located at the 607402 pin code area. It’s a busy medical college, and our department is just one part of the whole complex. We spend most of our time in the hospital wings or the classrooms. It’s a lot of clinical work and teaching students who are trying to become doctors. The halls are usually full of people in white coats and patients being moved around. It’s not a quiet place at all. In the anaesthesiology section, we have our equipment and desks where we do our paperwork. There is always a smell of antiseptic in the air. The shifts are long, and sometimes we are here all night. We don't have fancy offices; it's mostly functional space meant for medical work. Pondicherry is a nice enough place to work, but inside the college, you don't see much of the outside world. We have meetings, lectures, and a lot of time spent in the operating theaters. It’s a serious environment because of the nature of medical work. We just keep our heads down and do the tasks that need doing every day. The coffee machine in the break room is our best friend most mornings. It’s a hard-working department in a large institution, and that’s about it. We’re just here doing our jobs in the hospital.
