Venus Tea Factory

Our factory, Venus Tea Factory, is located at No: 19/51 Vardhini in the Mountpleasant area of Coonoor. Being in the Nilgiris, we are surrounded by tea gardens everywhere you look. The factory is where all the hard work happens. It is a noisy place with machines running most of the day to process the fresh leaves. We have been operating out of this Vardhini building for a long time. It isn't a modern glass office; it is a real working factory with the smell of tea leaves in the air all the time. Mountpleasant is a nice part of Coonoor, a bit higher up and usually quite cool compared to the valley. We have a small crew of local workers who know the process inside out. We spend our time checking the quality and making sure the drying and rolling machines are working as they should. It is a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the small details. We don't have a sales team or anything corporate. We just focus on the production and getting the tea ready for transport. Living and working in the Nilgiris means we are always close to the source. It is a quiet life when the machines aren't humming. We just take it one batch at a time. The mountain roads can be tough in the winter, but we manage to get things done despite the weather.
