Tea Board

We've been here on Club Road for a while now. It's a quiet spot in Coonoor, up in the hills where the weather usually stays nice and cool. People around here know the Shelwood area pretty well. We spend most of our time dealing with tea matters, which makes sense given where we are. There's a lot of paperwork and meetings happening in this building every day. It isn't anything fancy, just a regular office where we get things done. Sometimes the mist comes down so thick you can't see the road outside, but we just keep working through it. We've got the post box number 6 if anyone needs to send us something through the mail. Most of the staff live nearby, so we've all grown up around the plantations. It's just what we do. You'll see us coming in early and leaving when the sun starts to go down. The building itself has seen a lot of seasons. We don't really do big speeches or anything like that. We just focus on the tea industry and making sure things run like they're supposed to. It gets busy during certain times of the year, but we manage. If you're driving up toward the club, you'll pass right by us. It’s a steady kind of life here. We like the routine and the fact that we’re part of the local landscape. We often grab a quick snack from the vendors outside when things get hectic in the afternoon.
