Oswal Tea Traders

We are located at No. 56/1-D in the Thamman Building, which is on the first floor. It's right on Club Road in the Grays Hill area of Coonoor. Being up here in the hills means the weather is often misty and cool, which is perfect for tea. Our office isn't very large, and the wooden floors creak when you walk across them. We have several large tables where we spread out tea samples to look at the leaves. The light coming through the windows is usually pretty good for seeing the color of the tea. Oswal Tea Traders has been around for some time, and we've collected a lot of junk in the corners of the room over the years. We spend our days tasting different batches and talking to the estates nearby. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for the right samples to arrive. We use an old electric kettle that takes forever to boil, but it gets the job done. Sometimes the monkeys outside on Club Road make a mess, so we have to keep the windows latched tight. It’s a quiet kind of life, mostly focused on the quality of the leaves and the prices at the auction. We don't wear suits or have big meetings. We just drink tea, talk about the harvest, and try to keep the business running smoothly from our little corner of the Thamman Building.
