V. K. S. Exports. is located at 31 Subramanian Road in the R S Puram area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of other businesses around us. You can hear the noise of the traffic all day, which keeps us feeling like we're in the middle of everything. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the shipping schedules to worry about that. We handle various goods for the export market. Most of our day is spent talking to vendors and making sure the quality is what it needs to be. We don't use big words or try to sound like a giant corporation. We’re just a small team trying to make a living by moving products overseas. Sometimes the logistics get complicated and we have to spend all evening sorting out a single container. That’s just the nature of the business. R S Puram is a good location because everything we need is close by. We have a couple of old desks and a filing cabinet that’s seen better days. It’s not about the looks, it’s about getting the job done. We’ve built some good relationships with the drivers who stop by. We just take it one day at a time.
