Akil Exports

You can find us at No. 10 Bkr Nagar, right on Sathy Main Road. We are tucked away just behind the Damro Furniture store, which is usually the landmark we tell people to look for. Akil Exports operates out of a fairly simple building. We don't have a big glass front or a fancy sign. Most people miss the turn-off the first time they come by. Inside, it's mostly shelves and packing stations. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in before it goes back out. Sathy Main Road is a busy stretch, so there's always a bit of dust in the air. We try to keep the place organized, but when three trucks show up at once, it gets a bit messy. No one here is looking for a promotion; we just want to get the day's tasks finished so we can go home. We’ve been in Bkr Nagar for a while and know the other shop owners around here. It’s a decent community. We handle the export side of things with a lot of manual labor and some old-fashioned record-keeping. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it's quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just take it as it comes. It's not a complicated life, just a lot of moving parts. We keep the kettle going for tea and just get on with the shipments. It is just a normal day at the office for us.
