Ashok Eximp

Ashok Eximp is based out here on Madurai Main Road in Thirunelveli. It’s a busy road with lots of trucks and buses passing by all the time. Our building is right there on the main stretch, so it's not hard to find. We do a mix of exporting and importing work. Inside, it's mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of logbooks. We don't have a big sign out front, just the usual business setup. The dust from the road comes in sometimes if we leave the windows open, but that's just how it is. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking on the status of various containers. It isn't the most exciting work, but it's important. Thirunelveli is a good place to be for this kind of business. We've got a small crew here. Everyone knows what they need to do. We don't use any fancy software, mostly just spreadsheets and some basic programs. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet for an hour. We take our lunch breaks together when things aren't too frantic. There's a lot of paper moving across the desks every week. We try to stay on top of the regulations and the customs rules. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to over the years. No frills, just getting the job done. We just keep moving forward with the daily grind and stay busy.
