The Diafoot

The Diafoot is located on Ponni Gounder Street in Vadakovai. It’s a local spot that’s been part of the neighborhood for some time. We aren’t a big chain store or anything like that. It’s just us here on this street, working out of a small space that fits what we need. People from around Vadakovai usually know where we are, though sometimes the street name gets folks confused since it’s tucked away. We focus on footwear that actually helps people walk better, especially those with foot problems. It’s a specific thing to do, but it’s what we know. The shop is pretty quiet most days, which is nice. We spend a lot of time talking to people about what hurts and trying to find something that fits right. There’s no high-pressure sales talk here. We just show what we have on the shelves and let people decide. Sometimes we have to order things in, and that takes a few days. We keep our records in a simple ledger and handle the shop ourselves. It’s a slow and steady way of doing business, but it feels right for this area. We’ve seen many shops come and go on Ponni Gounder Street, but we’re still here, opening up every morning and cleaning the glass. It’s a simple life, and we’re happy to be part of the local community here. We just want to make sure people leave with shoes that don't cause them any more trouble.
