Our workshop is at 127A, Vice Charmanthottam in Amman Nagar West. It’s part of the Saravanampatti area. Aadhira Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. is basically just a big shed where we keep all the lathes and milling equipment. It’s not the easiest place to find if you don't know the local streets. We don't have a big sign with flashing lights out front. The floor is concrete and usually has a bit of oil on it from the machines. We spend most of our time standing around the workbenches, checking measurements and cutting metal. It’s noisy and you have to speak up to be heard over the grinding sounds. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy brochure. If you want to know what we do, you just look at the parts we’ve finished. Saravanampatti is a busy area now, but our little corner in Amman Nagar stays pretty much the same. We have a small tea break in the afternoon and that’s about as much social time as we get. The work is repetitive but it requires a lot of attention so we don't make mistakes. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to finish the parts on our list for the day and make sure they are right. It’s simple, practical work that keeps us occupied from morning until we lock up at night. There isn't much more to say than that.
