We’ve been here at No. 105 Alagappa Road in Tatabad for a while now. Most people in Coimbatore know this stretch. It gets pretty busy during the day, so parking is sometimes a bit of a gamble, but we’re usually here from morning until evening. The shop itself is packed with samples. We have stacks of tiles everywhere, and sometimes it feels like there isn’t enough room to walk, but we manage. People come in looking for stuff for their bathrooms or kitchens, and we just show them what’s in stock. We don't really do fancy sales pitches. Usually, it's just us moving heavy boxes around and helping load up trucks. The dust is part of the job, I guess. My desk is tucked in the corner behind some of the larger floor slabs. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some days are slow, and we just sit and talk with the neighbors, while other days it’s non-stop. If you’re around Tatabad, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing too flashy. We just keep things running. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot out, but we like being part of the local trade here. Most of our customers are folks from nearby who are just trying to fix up their homes. We keep a ledger for everything, and sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing. That’s just how it goes here on Alagappa Road. We try to keep it simple.
