Svs Tea

We are based at 35, Mettupalayam Road, over by Vellakinar Privu. It’s a good spot to be in because the road is always active. Svs Tea is a small business, and we like to keep it that way. We don't have a lot of levels of management or complicated rules. If something needs doing, one of us just goes and does it. The building isn't brand new, but it holds up well enough for what we need. Most of our day is spent checking on the tea and making sure the orders are packed right. We don’t use fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just workers who know the tea trade. Mettupalayam Road can get pretty noisy with the trucks, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a small bench outside where we sometimes sit for a break. People in Vellakinar Privu know us by now. We’ve been here long enough to see the area change quite a bit. We don't have a mission statement or any of that stuff. We just try to be fair and get the work done on time. Sometimes we make mistakes, like forgetting a pen or misplacing a ledger, but we always fix it. It’s a human way of doing things. We value the relationships we have with the people we buy from. It’s just a regular day for us at the office. We keep it simple and honest for everyone.
