You can find us over at No:72/2 on Athipalayam Road. We are right in the Chinnavedampatti area of Ganapathy. It is a part of town that has a lot of small workshops and factories. At Surfine Tools, we deal with a lot of metal and heavy equipment every single day. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal dust or oil, which is pretty common for a tool place. We have various machines sitting around and shelves filled with different sizes of tools. The noise is something you just get used to after a while. Athipalayam Road is always busy with small lorries and bikes zooming past our front door. We open the shutters early to let the morning air in before it gets too hot. Most of the people who come by are local workers or guys from other shops nearby looking for something specific. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is standing by the bench. Sometimes we have to hunt through the back to find an old part or a specific tool that someone requested. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands usually have some grease on them by the end of the shift. Ganapathy is a good area for this kind of business because everyone understands how tools and machines work. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The shop stays open until the evening.
