Adel Impex Pvt. Ltd. is situated in the 160 MR Complex on Podanur Main Road. It’s an older building, and we are up on one of the floors, which means we do a lot of walking up and down the stairs throughout the day. The office is usually filled with the sound of the overhead fan and people talking on their phones. We deal with a lot of import and export stuff, so there is a constant stream of documents and emails that need our attention. It’s not the most glamorous work, mostly just checking lists and making sure the logistics are handled properly. From our windows, we can see the traffic on Podanur Main Road, which is always busy no matter what time it is. We have a lot of folders and binders lining the shelves, and they are mostly stuffed with records from years of doing this. Sometimes the air in the complex gets a bit stuffy, so we take breaks just to stand near the door or walk outside for a bit. We aren’t really into marketing ourselves; we just focus on the daily tasks that keep the business moving. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure people in different places are all on the same page. We’ve been in this complex for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the quirks of the building and the neighborhood. It’s just our regular place of work.
