Schenker India Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Door No.471 in Pvg Towers. We are on the second floor. The building is right on Avinashi Road in Peelamedu, which is a very busy part of Coimbatore. You can see the traffic moving all day from our windows. It’s a pretty standard office space. We have computers, some desks, and a lot of maps on the wall. Being in logistics, we are always looking at where things are going. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor if the elevator is acting up, which happens sometimes. We aren't a big fancy operation with a receptionist at the front. You just walk in and someone will eventually look up from their screen. The office gets a bit noisy because of the main road outside, but you get used to it after a week. We spend most of our time coordinating with people in other cities. It’s a lot of emails and phone calls. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just come in, do the shipping work, and go home. Peelamedu is a good spot because it’s close to everything we need. It’s just a regular office where we try to keep things from getting too messy with all the paperwork. Anyway, we've been in this building for quite some time now and it suits us.
