Sunjar Spices

If you head down Palani Road in Udumalpet, you’ll find Sunjar Spices at number 64. We’ve been here for a while, dealing with all sorts of spices every day. The air around our place usually smells like whatever we are processing at the time. It’s a very sensory kind of job. Udumalpet is a nice town and being on Palani Road puts us in a good position. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space for spice work. We spend a lot of time sorting, grinding, and packing. It’s a lot of manual labor and we don't use any high-tech gadgets if we can help it. We prefer the old-fashioned way of doing things. The staff here are locals who know their way around a kitchen and a warehouse. We aren't interested in being a huge brand with commercials. We just want to provide the spices that people need for their cooking. Sometimes the dust from the spices makes us sneeze, but we are used to it by now. Being at 64 Palani Road is convenient for the local shops to pick up what they need. We keep the doors open when the weather is nice to let the breeze in. It’s just a simple, honest business and we like it that way. Most people around here know us by name, and we like the community feel of Udumalpet. We just keep doing our work every single day.
