Stage Craft

Stage Craft is a small workshop located on Sathy Road, right opposite Hotel Amutha in Ganapathi. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. If you walk into our place, you’ll mostly see wood shavings, metal pieces, and rolls of fabric lying around. We spend our days building stages and setting up backdrops for different kinds of events around Coimbatore. It’s not a quiet job by any means. There is always the sound of hammers or saws going. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered when we have three or four big projects going on at once. Our team is just a handful of local guys who know how to handle tools. We don't have a corporate reception or a glossy brochure to show people. Usually, clients just come by the shop to discuss what they need for their upcoming function. Being on Sathy Road makes it easy for trucks to load and unload the heavy stuff. We’ve had days where we stay up all night just to finish a frame or paint a backdrop. It’s the kind of work that leaves your clothes dirty at the end of the shift. We just try to get the measurements right so things don't wobble when people stand on them. Most of our work comes from local schools or community halls nearby. It is practical work and we take it one day at a time without much fuss. We usually keep some spare wood in the back for emergencies.
