India Knit Fair Association, Tirupur

We've been here in Tirupur for a while now, specifically over on 3rd Street in Indra Nagar. It's just off the main Avanashi Road, which is easy to find if you're coming from that way. Our group, the India Knit Fair Association, spends most of its time putting together shows and getting people in the knitting industry together. It gets pretty busy around the office when a fair is coming up. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we know how things go. Tirupur is famous for clothes anyway, so it makes sense we are based right here. We deal with lots of paperwork and planning. Sometimes the office is a bit loud with phones ringing and people talking about booths and stalls. It's not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. We usually have visitors coming in to ask about exhibition dates or how to get a spot on the floor. Indra Nagar is a decent spot, though parking can be a bit tight on the street sometimes. We keep a regular schedule, morning to evening. If you walk down the road from the main crossing, you'll see our sign. It’s a practical setup. We aren’t trying to be anything big or flashy, just an association doing its job for the local trade. Most of us grew up around here, so we like being part of the local scene. It’s a simple life but we stay busy with the garment world.
