Sri Surrya Marbles

Our shop is located at 320 Avenue Road, which is one of the busiest streets you can imagine. We are right in the thick of it, with people and vehicles passing by every single second. It is a small place, and we have to be very careful about how we stack our marble slabs so we don't run out of room. We spend a lot of time shuffling things around so customers can see the different patterns in the stone. It is heavy work, especially when the weather is humid and the street is loud. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. We just have the marble and our own hands to move it. Most people who come in are local residents or builders who know the area well. We talk to them about what they need and see if we have it in the back. Sometimes it's a bit of a squeeze to get everything through the door, but we manage somehow. We’ve been on Avenue Road for quite some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant activity. We don't use any fancy technology to track our stock; we just use a simple book and our memory. It is an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We just try to be helpful to anyone who walks in the door and stay honest about what we have. Most of the time, we are just waiting for the next shipment so we can start over again. It keeps us on our toes and ensures we never have a boring day.
