Sri Kumaran Industries

Sri Kumaran Industries is tucked away at 4/1, right behind the Nachimuthu Polytechnics. You have to turn off Udumalpet Road to find the little lane that leads to our gate. Being so close to the college, we often hear the bells and the students talking between classes. Our workshop is a busy place where we make different metal parts and industrial components. It’s a noisy environment with the sound of grinders and lathes running all day long. We have a small crew of men who really know their way around a machine. Most of them have been at 4/1 for a decade or more. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we make, you just come onto the shop floor. It’s a bit dusty and there is oil on the floor, but that’s where the real work happens. We don't spend much time on computers. Most of our designs are drawn out on paper or just known by heart. Udumalpet Road is a major route, so we get a lot of people stopping by to ask if we can fix something for them. We try to help out when we can. It’s a practical business built on hard work and getting the job done. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us, our tools, and the metal we work with every day. We focus on the task in front of us.
