You can find Jebas Exports at No. 11/1 on the Main Road in Somanur. Being on the main road means we are right in the thick of things. There is a lot of dust from the passing vehicles, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the desks in the morning. It’s a straightforward business we’ve got here. We take orders, find the products, and get them ready for export. It sounds simple but there’s always something that goes wrong, like a truck breaking down or a form being filled out incorrectly. We don’t have a big HR department or anything like that. It’s just us, a few people who have known each other for years. The office is small and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for what we need to do. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet during the long afternoons. Somanur is a busy place and we feel like a part of the community here. We know the guy who delivers the mail and the family that runs the grocery store next door. Our work is mostly about logistics and making sure things get to the port on time. It can be stressful when deadlines are tight, but we usually manage to get it done. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished brochures. People find us by word of mouth or just by seeing our sign on the road when they pass by. It’s enough for us to keep busy.
