We are located at 43-C in the V.N. Industrial Estate, over in the Peelamedu area. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of heavy machinery running nearby. Our unit is mostly focused on sheet metal and fabrication work. It's a big open space with high ceilings to help with the heat. We have a couple of presses and some shearing machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. The air usually smells like cut metal and machine oil. We don't have a fancy reception area; if you come to see us, you just walk right onto the shop floor. Usually, we are busy bent over some drawings or checking the measurements on a fresh batch of parts. Bharathy Colony is a good spot for us because the logistics are easy for the trucks coming in. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the estate or nearby who need specific parts made. It's a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the details. We have a small desk in the corner for the bills, but most of the action happens at the machines. It’s hard work, and the days can be long when we have a big order to finish, but we like the rhythm of it. The guys usually take their break under the big neem tree outside the gate.
