Selva Gold Covering (P) Ltd is located at 171, Cross Cut Road in Gandhipuram. This street is always packed with people shopping, so it’s very lively around here. Our shop is filled with glass cases showing off all the gold-plated jewelry we have. We spend most of the day helping women find the right necklace or bangles for a wedding or a party. It gets very crowded on the weekends and during festival seasons. The air conditioning struggles a bit when the shop is full of people. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. Some of the staff have worked here since the beginning and they know every item on the shelf. We don't use any fancy sales talk; we just show people what we have and tell them the price. The jewelry looks very much like real gold, which is why people like coming to us. Sometimes a customer wants something we don't have in stock, so we have to check the back room or order it from our warehouse. The lights in the shop are very bright to make everything sparkle. It can be tiring standing on your feet all day, but we're used to it. We keep a small water cooler in the corner for anyone who gets thirsty while they shop. It's just a busy, normal shop on one of the busiest streets in the city. We open early and stay until the last customer leaves.
