S R Control Engineering

Our workshop is at 3/1, Nallapalayam Road in Rathinapuri. If you know Coimbatore, you know this area is full of small shops like ours. We do control engineering, which mostly involves putting together electrical panels and wiring. It’s a lot of manual labor. The building is quite old and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves our purpose. We have a few workbenches and shelves full of switches and cables. It’s usually a bit messy because we are always in the middle of a project. Me and a couple of helpers manage everything. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If someone comes by, they just walk into the main area where we are working. We get a lot of local business from other small units nearby. Sometimes we have to go out to fix something on-site, but mostly we are here. The noise from the road is constant, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We take our breaks under the shade of the tree outside. It’s a straightforward business. We don't make big promises, we just do the wiring as per the diagrams given to us. It’s hard work and the days are long, but it keeps the kitchen running at home. That's what S R Control is all about.
