Ayyappa Engineering

Ayyappa Engineering is over at 81/3 on the Palakkad Main Road. We are in the Marappalam area of Madukkarai. If you drive by, you will probably hear us before you see us. There is almost always someone cutting metal or grinding down a weld. The Palakkad Main Road is always full of traffic, so we have a constant stream of cars and trucks passing the front gate. Our workshop is a big open space with a high ceiling to let the heat out. We do various engineering tasks, mostly fixing things that have broken or fabricating new parts from scratch. The floor is covered in metal shavings that get stuck in your shoes. We don't have much in the way of an office, just a small desk in the corner with a calendar and some old pens. The walls are stained with soot and grease from years of work. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where the work gets done. We take our tea breaks sitting on some old crates near the entrance so we can watch the road and the people going by. It’s a simple life of working with steel and machines. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. We aren't looking to be anything other than a solid engineering shop in Madukkarai. It’s what we know how to do and we stay busy enough.
