Scientific Fertilizer Company

The shop is tucked away on Ponnurangam Road East in R.S. Puram. It’s been here quite a while now. Most days start early with the shutter rattling up. We deal with all kinds of fertilizers that farmers and home gardeners around here need. People stop by to ask what works for their soil or why their plants aren't growing right. The office is small, often a bit dusty from the bags being moved around, but it’s where we do our work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the stock in the back room. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets loud, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just rows of bags and some basic desks. Usually, someone is drinking tea while waiting for a delivery truck to show up. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We see the same faces every season. The rain changes how things go, sometimes making it busy or really quiet. Our address is No. 8 and we’ve become a bit of a fixture on this street over the years. We keep the records in old ledgers and on a computer that's seen better days. It works for us and keep things moving without much fuss.
