Start with where we are. 230 Thiruvenkatasamy Rd. It's been a busy spot for us at Emerald Jewel Industry India Ltd. for a while now. We don't really have a big fancy reception area, just a desk and a few chairs for when folks stop by. Mostly we're just working in the back. Jewelry work takes a lot of time and focus. You know how it is. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready for the day and usually the afternoons are for the finer details. It's not a glamorous job really, even if people think jewelry is all sparkle. There’s a lot of metal dust and heat involved in the making process. Sometimes the tea guy comes by around four and that’s our big break. We’ve stayed on this road because it’s where we started and we know the neighbors. The shop is a bit cramped but we manage. If you’re looking for us, look for the small sign near the entrance. We try to keep things organized but on busy days there are boxes everywhere. It’s just how we work. Nothing too complicated about it. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. Some days are longer than others, especially when a deadline is close. We don’t really do much advertising because people around here already know where we are. It’s just an honest day’s work for us here at Emerald.
