Apple Of Gold is located at No. 53 Swamiar New Street, right in the Fort area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of history. We’ve been here at number one for some time now. The shop is small and filled with all sorts of items we’ve picked up over the years. It’s not one of those modern shops with bright LED lights and glass cases everywhere. It’s a bit more old-fashioned than that. We have shelves that creak a little and a floor that’s seen a lot of footsteps. People come in looking for something specific, or sometimes they just want to browse around. We try to keep things organized, but it’s easy for things to get a bit cluttered when new stock arrives. The street outside is always full of people and noise, which we like. It feels like we are in the middle of everything. We don't do any big advertising. Usually, someone just walks by and decides to step inside to see what we have. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on the day. We just enjoy being part of the Fort community and seeing the regular faces that stop by to say hello or ask how things are going. It's a simple life running a shop like this. The tea we drink while working is usually cold by the time we remember it's there. That's just how life goes here.
