The Arthur Exports

We are situated at Roche Colony, which is right along South Beach Road. The air here usually smells a bit like the sea, which is one of the nicer parts of working at The Arthur Exports. Our office at No. 21 is a straightforward place where we handle all our business dealings. It is a lot of manual work, checking through crates and making sure all the labels are stuck on straight. We don't have any big corporate signs out front, just a small one so people can find us. Most of the day is spent on the phone or checking the latest arrivals. The road outside can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up, so we are always dusting off the desks and the equipment. We have a few long-term workers who have been with us since the beginning, and we mostly just get on with the job without much talk. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have a fancy break room, so we usually just eat our lunch at the desks or head outside for a bit of air. The colony is a quiet enough place to work, even with the traffic on South Beach Road nearby. We keep our records in big binders and try to stay on top of the logistics as best as we can. It’s a lot of checking and double-checking, but that is just what the job requires. We close up around six most days and head home.
