Ramesh Agri Farm

Ramesh Agri Farm is located inside the Raheja Centre at 105-A on Avanashi Road. It is a busy part of town and finding a parking spot can be a bit of a headache most days. We spend a lot of our time dealing with people coming in from the surrounding rural areas. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a few chairs for visitors and a couple of old desks piled high with paperwork. Outside on Avanashi Road, the buses are always rushing past. It’s a loud area but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. We mostly talk about crops, seasons, and prices. It is a lot of back and forth with suppliers and the people who actually work the land. Sometimes the air conditioner in the building makes a strange rattling sound, but we just ignore it. My brother and I run the day-to-day things and our cousin helps out when it gets really busy during the harvest months. We keep a pot of tea going most mornings because people tend to drop by without calling first. It is not the most organized place in the world, but the work gets finished. Being at 1073 Avanashi Road puts us right where we need to be to meet folks halfway. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the accounts are mostly right by the end of the week.
