Trade Mart International Exports

Our office is over on West Venkatasamy Road in R. S. Puram. If you know the area, you know it gets quite busy around here with all the shops and traffic. We’re at number 70 - A. It’s an old building, nothing too modern, but it does the job for Trade Mart International Exports. Most mornings start with us opening up the shutters and getting the systems running. There is always a bit of dust because of the road work nearby, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We’ve been here long enough that the local chai shop knows exactly how we like our coffee. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people overseas or down at the ports. It’s mostly just making sure boxes get from one place to another without getting stuck somewhere. Sometimes things go wrong with the shipping schedules, and we spend the whole afternoon fixing it. It’s not glamorous. The office is a bit cramped because we have samples and papers everywhere. R. S. Puram is a good spot though, because everything we need is within walking distance. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just talk to our clients directly. Usually, we're here until late evening trying to catch up with different time zones. It's a bit loud with the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a week or two.
