R K Mess

R K Mess is located at No 1935 on Nagappa Thevar Street, just off Trichy Road. We’re right near NM Hospital here in Ramanathapuram. Because of the hospital, we get a lot of people who are looking for a simple, home-style meal because they’re staying nearby or visiting someone. It’s a quiet street for the most part, but lunchtime gets pretty hectic. We have a few tables and chairs, nothing fancy at all. It’s the kind of place where you just sit down, eat, and go about your day. We’ve been in Coimbatore for a while now and we like the crowd here. The kitchen is small, so we only make a set amount of food every day. When it’s gone, it’s gone. We don’t believe in keeping stuff overnight. It’s mostly just rice, sambar, and a few vegetables. We keep the prices where ordinary people can afford them. It’s just a few of us running the place. One person cooks, one serves, and we all help with the cleaning. It’s a routine that works for us. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’d rather focus on making sure the food tastes right. We aren't trying to be a big restaurant. It’s just a mess where you can get a decent meal without spending too much. Most of our customers are regulars who work in the shops nearby.
