Our place is at No 41/11 on Shastri Street in Sengadu, Koilmedu. The easiest way to explain where we are is to say we’re near the Koilmedu Police Station. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, though it gets a bit crowded during the morning rush. The workshop itself is a plain building with a big door that stays open for most of the day. We do general engineering work, so there’s always something being cut or joined together. It’s a lot of manual labor, and the guys are usually covered in a bit of grease by noon. We’ve got some old machines that still run perfectly and a few newer ones too. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of raw materials stored along the walls. You might have to step over a few pipes to get to the back where the main bench is. We don't have a receptionist or anything; usually, whoever is closest to the front will come out to see what’s needed. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and the people around here know us as the guys who are always working with metal. It’s just what we do to make a living. There’s no big secret to it, just showing up and putting in the hours until the work is finished.
