You will find us at number 87 in the FCI Complex on Mettupalayam Road in Karamadai. The complex is a large area with many warehouses and trucks moving in and out all day. It is a dusty place because of all the grain and agricultural products being moved around. Our building is a plain structure that serves its purpose. Inside, the ceilings are high and it stays somewhat cool. We have a small office area partitioned off from the main storage floor. The sound of the loaders and the distant hills of Karamadai are part of our daily life. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding the loads coming from the farms. Most of the people working here wear sturdy boots because the ground is uneven. We have a small canteen nearby where we get our tiffin. The work at Parry Agro Industries Ltd follows the harvest cycles so some months are much more frantic than others. We don't have any colorful decorations or a fancy lobby. It is an industrial setting where the focus is on the bags and the crates. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the roof and make a lot of noise. We just carry on with the weighing and the recording of the stock. It is hard work but we are used to it.
