Padmanabhan Machineries

Padmanabhan Machineries is over on Kattabomman Street in Ganapathy. We are at number 137 A. It is a regular street with a lot of other small shops and workshops around us. We deal with all sorts of machines. Most of the day, you’ll hear the sound of metal or the hum of something being tested in the back. It is a bit of a grease-and-oil kind of place. We don't wear suits here. Usually, it’s just work shirts and jeans because things get dirty. We have been here for a long time, and most of the locals know us by name. If a machine breaks down, people bring it here to see if we can figure out what’s wrong. It’s not always easy. Some of the older equipment is tricky to fix because parts are hard to find. We spend a lot of time searching through old catalogs. Our workshop is organized in a way that only we understand. To anyone else, it might look like a mess of parts. But we know where everything is. We don't have a website that does much, and we don't do much advertising. Word of mouth has always been enough for us. It’s a simple life. We open early, work through the day, and close up when the light goes. It’s honest work, and we are happy staying right here in Ganapathy. We just fix what comes in.
