Nature India Exports

Nature India Exports is based up in Valparai, at No. 9/ 866 in Kalaignar Nagar. Being up here in the hills is quite different from working down in the hot cities. The air is thinner and it rains a lot more, which sometimes makes the roads a bit tricky for the trucks. We run the business from a modest building that’s been in the family for a while. We focus on things that come from this region. It’s a small team, mostly just family and a couple of neighbors who help out with the sorting and packing. The office doesn't have air conditioning because we don't really need it with the mountain breeze. We spend a lot of time looking out at the green slopes while we wait for the transporters to arrive. Logistics can be a bit slow up here, but we are used to it. We keep our records in big notebooks as well as on the computer, just in case the power goes out, which happens more than we’d like. It’s a quiet way to work, away from the big city rush. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to keep the business steady so we can stay here in Valparai. It’s a beautiful place to live and work, even if the logistics get complicated when the mist rolls in.
