Nambu Coir Private Limited

Over at Sengipatti Road, you’ll find us working at Nambu Coir Private Limited. The exact spot is NO.236/A1 in Velambakudipalayapatti North, which is a mouthful to say if you aren't from around Boothalur. This area is quiet but we keep busy with the coconut husks and the fiber. There is always a lot of dust in the air when we are processing the coir, so we have to sweep a lot. The yard is usually full of brown piles drying under the sun. It’s honest work that leaves your hands feeling rough at the end of the shift. We get trucks coming in and out from the main road all day. Sometimes the drivers stay for a bit of water and a chat before heading back out. Being in Boothalur TK means we aren't in the middle of a big city, which is fine by us. We have enough space to spread out. The roof of the building gets hot in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. It’s just a small group of us here making sure the orders for the coir get packed up. We don't use big words or fancy ads. We just handle the materials we have. It’s a bit messy sometimes but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. If you walk past the gate on Sengipatti Road, you’ll see us there. It is just our daily routine in the village.
