N K Engineering

N K Engineering is tucked away on Naviamman Kail Street in Rayapuram, right near the bus stop. If you’ve ever waited for a bus around here, you’ve probably walked past Plot No. 6 without giving it much thought. We do engineering work, which usually involves a lot of metal, tools, and a fair bit of noise during the peak hours of the day. The shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit all the necessary equipment into the space we have. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially with the machines running, so we usually have the fans going full blast. Working near the bus stop means there is always people moving around outside, which keeps things from feeling too isolated. We don’t do a lot of talking about what we do; we mostly just get on with the jobs that come in. Most of the guys here have grease on their hands by ten in the morning, and that’s just how it goes. We’ve been in Rayapuram for some time, and the locals know us as the place to go when something needs fixing or a part needs to be made. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they are getting off the bus. It’s a busy, cramped, and productive little corner of the street.
