Our company is in Tirupur, which everyone knows is the place for clothes. We are at number 15, Renuga Garden, in the Semmedu Thottam area off Kangayam Road. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center but still in the heart of the textile zone. We do knitwear here. You can usually hear the sound of machines or the rustle of fabric if you come by. It’s a practical workspace, not a showroom. We have stacks of fabric and half-finished garments around. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes when we are busy with a big order. We have local people from the nearby areas coming in to work. We don't have any big corporate policies, just a few rules to make sure the quality is okay. The Kangayam Road area is always busy with trucks carrying yarn or finished shirts. We spend our time checking the stitching and making sure the sizes are right. It’s hard work and it gets quite warm in the factory area. We try to keep the windows open for a breeze. We aren't trying to be a global brand with a fancy logo. We just make the clothes and send them out. It’s what people in Tirupur have been doing for years. We are just one of many, trying to do a decent job every day. It keeps us going and supports our families.
