We've been here at 25, Mettupalayam Road for a while now. If you know the Narasimha Naiken Palayam area, you know how the traffic gets during the mornings. Mckinnon India Pvt. Ltd. isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything. It's just a solid building where we get our work done every day. The crew shows up, drinks some tea, and then we start on the orders. It gets pretty dusty out there sometimes because of the road work nearby, but inside it's all business. We deal with various machinery and parts mostly. Some of the guys have been working here for over ten years, so they know the machines better than they know their own cars. We don't really do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they passed by the sign on the road. It’s a busy spot. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until the generator kicks in. It’s just how things go around here. We try to keep the yard organized, but with so many shipments coming in and out, it's a constant battle. Usually, by five or six, we’re wrapping things up and heading home. It's a living. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the operations running smooth for the clients who depend on us. If you’re ever driving down towards Mettupalayam, you’ll see our gate right there on the main stretch.
