If you’ve ever been to Tirupur, you know how busy the streets get with all the textile stuff going on. This neighborhood is full of people who are always working. My place is right in the middle of it all. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a regular house where I’ve set up my space to work. I’ve been here for a while and the neighbors all know me. There’s always someone moving fabric or driving a truck nearby. It’s loud and it’s active, which is how I like it. I do most of my daily tasks from this address. I don’t have a website with a lot of professional photos. I just have this spot where I get things done. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a very local way of doing things. I think it’s better to be where the action is rather than tucked away in some quiet office park. People know where 2nd Street is, and they know where to find Mani Raj. It’s honest work in a busy town, and that’s plenty for me.
