Karunambika Engineering

If you head down Athipalayam Road in Chinnavedampatti, you will find us at number 2. Karunambika Engineering has been sitting on this corner for a bit, and the noise of the machines is usually the first thing you notice when you walk up. It is an engineering shop, so there is always a bit of oil on the floor and some metal scraps in the corners. We do not spend much time cleaning for show, we just keep the machines running. The morning air in Chinnavedampatti is usually okay, but by noon it gets pretty dusty with all the traffic on the road outside. We started this place because we knew how to handle the tools and people needed things fixed or built. It is not a big corporate setup with meetings and powerpoint slides. We just look at the metal, see what needs doing, and then we do it. Sometimes we stay late when a job is stubborn, and other times we close up early if the power goes out, which happens more than we would like. There are a lot of small shops around here, but we just stay in our own space and keep our heads down. It is hard work on the hands and the back, but at the end of the day, you can see what you made with your own effort. It feels good to finish a job.
