J.M.S Engineering

You can find J.M.S Engineering over at 12D/1 on Madukkarai Road, right near the Sidco Post Office. It’s a typical engineering setup. We’ve got the machines and the tools spread out across the floor. It’s not a place where you’ll find people in suits. We are usually in our work clothes, dealing with grease and metal most of the day. The location on Madukkarai Road is quite convenient for getting things moved in and out. Being near Sidco means there are other workshops around, so there’s a bit of a community feel among the local businesses. We do a lot of small-scale engineering tasks. Sometimes it’s just fixing something that broke, and other times it’s making a new part from scratch. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. We just do the work that comes in. The shop can get quite hot in the afternoons, but we have some big fans that help. It’s a lot of measuring and checking things twice to make sure they fit. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years now. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we know the area well. It’s just a basic engineering shop where we try to do a decent job on whatever is on the bench that day. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just get on with it and stay busy until the day is over.
