J.K. Engineering

If you come down Madukkarai Road towards the Sidco area, you will find us at 33A, right near the Industrial Estate Post. J.K. Engineering has been operating from this little corner for quite some time now. The building is older, and you can see the history of the place in the worn-down steps and the heavy wooden doors that have been repaired many times. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles here. The office is just a small room with a couple of old desks and a filing cabinet that has seen better days. Most of the action happens out on the floor where the machines are. It is a noisy, busy environment, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we all like. We usually have the radio playing low in the background, though you cannot hear it much once the heavy work starts. Our team is small, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to checking the final dimensions of a project. We do not use any corporate jargon or try to sound like a multinational corporation. We are just a local engineering shop that pays attention to the small details. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains really hard, but we just move the machines and keep going. It is not a perfect place, but it is ours, and we have worked hard to keep things running on Madukkarai Road.
