Jemm Engineers

Jemm Engineers is over on Erodourm Road in Singanallur. We are at number 4. Singanallur is a part of town that has a lot of small shops and engineering firms, so we fit right in. The road can get quite busy with buses and bikes zooming past. We spend most of our time inside the workshop or the small office area we have set up. Engineering work involves a lot of precise measurements and looking at parts, so it’s usually quiet enough inside so we can concentrate. We have various tools and machines scattered around that we use for different jobs. The building is just a plain structure, nothing that stands out too much from the outside. We’ve had this spot for a while and the neighbors are all familiar faces. Most days start with a cup of tea and a look at the drawings for whatever we are building or fixing that day. It’s not a fast-paced corporate office with people in suits. We wear work clothes and don't mind getting our hands dirty if a machine needs fixing. There is always some project sitting on a bench half-finished. We just take it one step at a time until the job is done. It’s a decent way to earn a living, and being in Singanallur makes it easy to get what we need from other local suppliers. We keep the doors open and just get on with it.
